On September 13 and 14, 2008 the Old Milton Country Fair will return to Alpharetta, just in time to participate the city's sesquicentennial celebrations. In 2008 the Fair will be organized by the Alpharetta Lions Club, meeting the needs of the community and the world through one of the world's largest service organizations. It is being presented in partnership with the Alpharetta Historical Society and the City of Alpharetta.

The OLD MILTON COUNTRY FAIR will offer families a day to step back in time to the early days of North Georgia with historical crafts and demonstrations, exhibits such as blacksmithing, basket weaving, butter churning, leathersmithing, candle and soap making and spinning. Families can take part in gold and gem panning, view an old moonshine still, learn about cotton, and watch calisthenics, fashion and etiquette demonstrations from the mid-1800s.
